01 August 2018 – Specialist international shipping law firm Campbell Johnston Clark (CJC) has announced new senior appointments to the Admiralty and Casualty teams in its London and Singapore offices.
Paul Apostolis is joining CJC’s Singapore office from HFW Singapore while Andrew Gray joins as a partner in London from Clyde & Co. The appointments are effective from August 1. Both Paul and Andrew have extensive casualty experience and are proficient in all aspects of the dry side of casualties that necessarily arise from incidents.
Alistair Johnston, Director and one of the founders of Campbell Johnston Clark, said the appointments were indicative of the importance the firm places on its Admiralty and Casualty work.
“Paul and Andrew bring a wealth of experience with them and will play a key role as we further strengthen our position in this important sector of our well-established Admiralty practice. CJC has been involved in many high-profile casualties over recent years, from containership fires to large-scale groundings and major collisions. Reinforcing the knowledge and expertise we have in these areas is critical as we grow our wet practice internationally.”
Mr Johnston said that CJC would also strengthen its presence in Asia in the coming weeks, with another senior individual joining its Singapore team from HFW Singapore.
“We are very excited that these new partners are joining CJC,” he said. “Having established the firm just eight years ago we have bided our time before expanding the team at a senior partnership level. Now is our time to move forward and these three outstandingly talented new partners will ensure that we do just that.”
