18 May 2020 – In light of the current global pandemic, and its effect on travel restrictions and the hospitality and leisure industry, Cruise Ship Interiors Expo and Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America has taken the carefully considered decision to cancel this year’s show. The dates of 2-3 September, originally postponed from June 2020, will no longer be going ahead and the next in-person version of Cruise Ship Interiors Expo and Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America will take place 8–9 June 2021.
CSI and CSH have always been committed to providing a much-needed platform to the cruise interiors and hospitality communities. Given the drastic impact the global Covid-19 pandemic has had on the cruise industry, we understand that attending a trade show is not a priority for the many affected suppliers, outfitters, designers and cruise line executives. We want to provide the industry with a show that is safe to attend, and benefits every party in the supply chain. September does not feel as though we would be able to meet those criteria and so we have decided to postpone until June 2021.
As we want to continue to serve the cruise interiors community, we are putting together an exciting and innovative virtual version of CSI and CSH America on 2–3 September. This virtual event will include exclusive conference sessions led by the biggest names in cruise interiors and hospitality, and a host of networking opportunities through virtual meetings with exhibitors and other attendees.
The cruise interiors and hospitality supply chain will come together in person 2 – 3 December 2020 at ExCeL London for Cruise Ship Interiors Expo and Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo Europe. After an unprecedented year, CSIE will provide an opportunity to have the crucial conversations required to restart business relationships and form new connections.
Toby Walters, CEO of Elite Exhibitions commented, “Our shows wouldn’t be the success they are without the incredible support we receive on a daily basis from our Advisory Board, Exhibitors, Sponsors, Partners and of course, you. We are looking forward to brining the industry back together in December in London for what will be a mission critical community reunion.”
